I’m looking for a set of metal hi hat cymbals that mimic the real thing. Preferably something I don’t have to go to the uk to get.

Hi George!
All electronic cymbals will be capable of mimicking any hi hat sound that you choose to use, based on your module, or the "brain" of the electronic kit. The cymbal itself will not include any type of sound profile. If a "metal sound" is what you're after, you'll need to research the sounds available on the specific module that you own. Many modules allow you to download new sounds samples, and use them with your kit.
As far a mimicking the "feeling" of real hi hats, this will vary widely from model to model. You'll have to try out many in person, and also see what's compatible with the kit that you currently own.
As far I know, no major electronic kit manufacturers are based in the UK, and all of them ship products worldwide. You can have anything you're shopping for shipped to your front door.
