Hello friends how are you? A few days ago I saw a video of Adam at a jam with Jared Falk (recorded 4 years ago I guess). In the first part Adam starts playing a “hard time shufle” groove, but immediately transforms it into something else incorporating some kind of rhythmic shift (Jared surprised says “woouh!”) (Minute 2 of the video). I'd like to know what resource is that and if you have any lessons exploring that kind of thing. Thank you very much!

I weirdly know the EXACT groove you're talking about, lol.
I have quite literally spent an hour with a buddy ( @DsumDrums on insta) writing out that groove, and trying to understand exactly what's happening.
It's essentially 2 beats of a halftime shuffle, followed by a standard "paradiddle groove" at the same rate of speed. Kicks follow the right hand in the paradiddle groove. The problem is, it becomes a 20 note cycle, which makes the subdivision / time signature relationship very tricky.
There are numerous ways you could use math to describe and teach the groove, but being that its wildly abstract, I don't plan on tackling that one anytime soon, lol. It is needlessly complicated, but a fun trick to pull out. ;)
